
The Korea Language Promotion Foundation elected Eunice Lee as its new chair.

The Korea Language Promotion Foundation announced that, at its 16th Board of Directors meeting in 2026, it appointed Eunice Lee as its new chair, succeeding Monica Ryu. Ryu, the former chair, led the foundation from 2017 to 2025. The foundation is currently run by a 16-member board and is expanding its outreach and education programs with the goal of promoting Korean as a global language. In particular, its 2021 textbook “EPIC KOREAN” was adopted by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as an official Korean-language textbook and has also gained popularity as a standard Korean textbook in Canada and Europe. The foundation also operates eight major initiatives, including training programs for Korean-language teachers and pre-service teachers, as well as Korea study programs for school administrators.
