Summary:
The Korean Language Promotion Foundation, led by Chairperson Monica Ryu, is hosting the “2025 U.S. Education Administrators’ Korea Program” from August 1–8. Seven American K–12 education administrators are participating in an eight-day cultural and historical immersion experience across Seoul and the surrounding metropolitan area. The program aims to deepen understanding of Korean history, traditional and modern culture, and to support the expansion of Korean language education in U.S. schools. Activities include lectures on Korean history, traditional tea ceremonies, etiquette training, calligraphy at the Hangeul Museum, visits to the Korean Folk Village, fermented food workshops, and trips to historical sites such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung, the War Memorial, and National Museums. Participants also experience modern Korean culture through events like a professional baseball game at Gocheok Sky Dome, the “Nanta” performance, and visits to Myeongdong, Itaewon, Dongdaemun, Cheonggyecheon, and COEX Mall. The program concludes on August 8 with participants sharing their reflections.
