Ryu, the former chair, led the foundation from 2017 to 2025. The foundation is currently run by a 16-member board and is expanding its outreach and education programs with the goal of promoting Korean as a global language. In particular, its 2021 textbook \u201cEPIC KOREAN\u201d was adopted by the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) as an official Korean-language textbook and has also gained popularity as a standard Korean textbook in Canada and Europe.
